I'm having trouble getting my projector set up. I'm hoping someone out there will have a simple fix for me.
Here is my equipment...
Toshiba XS54 upscaling DVD player using component out and optical audio out.
Samsung SIR 151 HDTV set top box using component out and coax audio out
both route through my Amp
Onkyo 803 - converts all signals but HDMI to component.

Trouble is, the projector always seems to be (searching) for a signal when I'm watching the HDTV tuner. It seems to be fine with the DVD player. And, when I switch from DVD to Video1 on the Amp it flashes up the HDTV picture for about 5 seconds then goes blue and says (searching)....
I've tried going to different component inputs on the amp and that didn't work. I used the S-video out on the HDTV tuner into the Amp and that does work and stays on.
When I hook the HDTV tuner directly to the projector it works fine.

I figured it out....
The Amp has a "Pure Audio" selection button on the front. When this is selected all video processing shuts down and the only available video output is the HDMI.
Easy solution, next time, I'll read the book first.

Your right, it doesn't. but for the sake of time I hooked up using the component for now. I had some trouble getting the HDMI set up to work. I'll take that on once I'm done with everything else.
