Just curious as to what people have heard on this new cable...blue jeans is going to offer it with a week or 2...would it be any better than 1694a for dvd-a? More flexibe..and such a short run (1.5 feet or less)...thanks!

About the only advantage it will have be flexibility. It will still not perform as well as the Belden 89259 cable for analog audio use. IMO its a poor choice for that application. For video and digital coax the use of solid core cables will be superior.

Thanks Mark...what would you recommend then...belden 89259 teamed up with which ends? Is this pretty much a proven that 89259 outperforms everything else for analog audio( who sells is reasonably) checking now[IMG] thanks Mark..off to search more...ahh...fun stuff!

I'd only go as far as to say it performs better than any other coax cable.
There are some twisted pair cables that are better but they also tend to cost a lot more.
Any of the better RCA connectors will work well with this cable(WBT,Cardas,Vampire etc) Bullets sound great too but IMO are too fragile for such a stiff cable.

just checked..rhino has them at 50 bucks a pair...so 150 bucks for 6...bluejeancables has them at 100 bucks for a 2 footer..Rhino uses vampire connects...BJC uses canare rca connects...FYI..these will be for a denon 1600/marantz 8200 dvd-a setup...is it a coin toss on these 2...catcables offers silvercats, but 300 bucks isn't in it for me[IMG]

BJC sells a pair of 3ft cables (89259) for $36.95
Problem is they use the Canare crimp on connectors which are not the best choice. Fine RCA for sub, video and digital use though. Of the two I'd go with the 89259/Vampire that Rhino sells.
FYI Heartland has started selling this cable with Bullets. You may want to check out Zucables and Boldercables as well.

Thanks Mark...the Rhinos look like nice cables also...the heartland use bullets ...which as you stated might be a bit stiff for 1 foot runs...tom
