Has anyone used the Behringer Super X Pro CX2310 crossover.

I was thinking of buying one and using it as a crossover for mains & subs!.

I realise that there are some concerns with the quality of Behringer products being used on speakers other than subwoofers. But I am thinking if this is only going to be used as a xover, it shouldn't alter the sound of my main speakers.

Any advice greatly recieved!

I tried using a Carvin crossover in my system once, and it audibly colored the sound – pretty disappointing for a product costing over $300. I’d frankly be afraid to use the Behringer at its price.

If you want an excellent crossover that’s clean and fairly cheap, check eBay for an AudioControl Phase Coupled Activator Series III. That’s what I ended up with, and I’ve been very pleased with it. Paradigm also makes (or perhaps used to make) some good cheap crossovers.
