I plan to start construction of my HMT in mid-November. I'm trying to decide the color of my walls. I have 10inch concrete/clay brick walls, with 1/2inch thick sheet of insulation. I plan to upholster the walls with with fabric and foam rubber.
I wish to keep the theater dark and the screen bright while the movie is showing. Then with lights on have an attractive/traditional appeal.
What color and type of fabric pleases both wishes?
I have carpet samples and chairs shown at

I like the look of dark greens, dark reds, or greys. Perhaps even a combination. The greys can be used up close to the screen to have color neutrality, while the greens or reds can be used on the floor and walls. Also, deep reds are typical for a theater environment.
