I'm going to be buying a HDTV, probably a Sony KV32HS500 and conncting it to a Panasonic RP91 dvd and a Sony STR-AV770 receiver. I'm only going to hook up two speakers for the time being until I add more and upgrade my receiver.

The receiver is not Dolby Digital. What cables should I use and how should I connect everything?

From the DVD player to the TV run component video cables. Run stereo analog cables (RCA's) from your DVD player to one input on the reciever and from the audio outs on the TV. This way, you can run both your cable tv and DVD through your recievers speakers.

    Thanks for the reply.

To clarify, are you saying to use analog digital instead of digital coax from my dvd to receiver? Is that because of my older receiver?
