It could absolutely not work with them involved it if the script is terrible. That's what I thought about the second one.
He should have kept trying. I would not have greenlit the movie with the script that they used. Frankly I'm surprised Burton considered it to be acceptable.Tim had been trying to come up with a story for the sequel for over 20 years
I acknowledged that I'm in the minority in my original post. But I'm probably not the only person who showed up for 2 and won't show up for 3 either. So you may have not liked it, but the majority however that did see it must have enjoyed it

If it happens, I sincerely hope the fans who show up for 3 like it. But I'm out.
It's more than a rumor. Michael DeLuca and Pam Abdy confirmed to Deadline that they're working on this. They are in charge at WB. That makes official that they intend to do it. Of course, actually getting it to the screen is a whole other thing. But it is officially in development.Nothing is 100% yet so this all just a rumor until something is actual official.

Add me to that list. Critics reviews and audience scores were lower than the original film so most agree it’s a lesser sequel. But money talks and obviously the majority of people that saw it enjoyed it.I acknowledged that I'm in the minority in my original post. Gough told Entertainment Weekly that an early draft for the film had the Maitlands making a cameo appearance at the end, he and Millar discussing the idea with Burton, but all three moved on from the concept as they felt no de-aging technology would be convincing enough to make the audience believe that Davis and Baldwin had not aged since 1988. Also, they felt that the Maitlands' story had been told and their appearance would clash with Burton's decision to not make any fan service.
