Digital Bits ios reporting that the original and entire Battlestar Galatica series will be released on DVD this fall to coincide with Sci-Fi's new Battlestar mini-series.

For those that don't know, the original series only ran for one 22-episode season. So if you're interested, this should be on easy series to collect.

Com'on, I know you can do it...just one little measely season.

It's twenty THREE episodes BTW, G80 is 6 episodes with only one worth NOT throwing into the furnace, The Return of Starbuck.

And if you REALLY want to go ballstic on completeness, you should try the telemovies, complete with deleted scenes, 2 completely different episodes spliced into one another, and lame bridge scenes with dumpy looking standins! They're a hoot and a holler!

It was aired as 10 episodes. Among them were two two-parters and one three-parter. But they aired separately.

why wouldn't they? BSG is 1.33:1. While the 2-parters were protected for 1.85:1 for foreign theatrical release, the official AR is 1.33:1

Especially if the new series will be WS...

I just found Cylon Raider, Battlestar, Baseship & Viper model kits at three different garage sales over two weekends...I was happy as I only spent $30 all together...my girlfriend kept saying she could't believe I bought "Toys".....sigh

Let me just agree 100% with that statement. The only G80 episode that does not suck completely is the one with Dirk Benedict.

Yeah, that's what I thought he was talking about, but if we have the original episodes that they spliced together in order to make these "Movies"..why include them? Use the extra space to increase the bit rate..these shows need all the help they can get in the A/V department.

My dad put these on audio tape when I was a kid. I listened to quite a few episodes on family vacations.

I always loved the episode where Starbuck was doing the long range recon thing and gets put in prison on some planet.

Guilty pleasure time!

It would be nice if they would include "Return of Starbuck" in the Battlestar Galactica Boxed set as an extra.

I remember watching Galactica 1980 when I was seven or eight and even at that impressionalble young age found it to be absolutely horrid.
