Jon Stewart just announced it on tonight's "Daily Show." I don't watch the show, but I thought some of you might want to know, so I thought I'd post the info.

Are there reruns? I just got cable and was looking forward to watching Battlebots for the first time. Well, there's one less reason to keep my subscription... [IMG]

This season (5.0) has been moved to Saturdays (according to the website) but CC is not financing season 6.0. I'm sad as it's the only robot fighting show I watch (maybe G4.TV will pick it up).

I am kicking myself for not going to see them live the last time I was in SF.

Too Bad. Battlebots is immensely popular (ratings wise) and was amongst Comedy Central's top performers.. spawning a toy line, video games, etc. and continues to be wildly popular based on this year's ratings.
The news is still somewhat old though:
    Trey & Greg's Message Regarding Season 6.0
I still am surprised. Comedy Central is losing this show, and the man show (Jimmy Kimmel quit) and has no real promising programs in the offing. Either they are downsizing, or something.. regardless, considering Battle Bot's rating, I have no doubt that someone (read: SciFi) would be tempted to pick it up.

Plus the fact that it is probably a popular show with the kids. I know my nephews who are in middle school are big Lego fans and it just kind of fits into that mold. Perhaps even TLC would be a good fit. I noticed they moved Cathy Rogers from the last series of Junkyard Wars to her own new spinoff. I happen to catch a new JWs last night with a new female hostess.

He said that the show was quickly becoming "not much fun" and is moving on to other opportunities.
