According to TV Shows on DVD, reported over at Yahoo News, a woman who claims to be the heir of one of the producers of the original Adam West series is suing FOX over royalties that she's legally entitled to. Defrauded of over 4.4 million dollars she's claiming a variety of charges stemming from Breach of COntract, Fraud and Concealment since another contract was signed between Fox and ABC and not informing the other parties involved with the show.

Special thanks to Gord for posting this one. While I'm anxious to own this series on DVD I do support the actions of Deborah Dozier Potter because if Fox made an error in judgement then they need to make ammends. This is a prime example of how large studios try to get out of these contracts that they force other producing studios to sign.

Yes, I read that...this obviously won't help get the series out on DVD but I've been doubting for sometime now that it would ever happen anyway. Oh, and I believe the series debuted in January of 1966...not 1960.
