I borrowed the DVD of Batman Forever from the library -- hadn't seen in it for a few years at least, and wanted to see what some time and cynicism did to a viewing.[IMG]
Anyway, during the opening minutes, the credits are appearing on the screen. And I noticed something very odd:
Even the though image was letterboxed, the last 1 or 2 letters of many of the credits "slid" off the screen!
Does anyone know why this happened? Did I not have my DVD player settings correct? I've never seen this happen with a widescreen version of a movie before since buying and using my player.
Did Warners give us more of the picture than the P&S version yet still not give us ALL of the picture?

I'm not sure what Warner did with this disc, nor what the aspect ratio of the movie it, but it's *possible* your TV's overscan is too much. I suggest picking up Avia to see what your overscan is at.
