I was watching this film on DVD recently, and I was struck by the quality of the films animation. It was like I was watching them actually photograph the cells one by one, and watching the cells themselves the image was so clear, compared to most cartoons... It's kind of tough to explain.

How come no other Toon on DVD looks like this? Was it something special done for the BB release?

Maybe it's part of the censorship. You know, clean it up as they're cutting it up.

Might have been shot on 35mm instead of Super-16mm.
