I am talking about the transfer.. when they aired superman the movie.. before the release of the dvd, they had the theatre version, but with the new sound mix. have no idea if it will be the new transfer. I heard they redid the sound mix on the new dvd of batman..

That's 7:15 on the West Coast I presume - here in the East it airs at 10:15.

jacob, were did you "hear" that?

i think the dvd was close to the first batch to be released so that would be 7-8 years ago.

does anyone else rememebr anything about a new transfer.

the only thing i know of is the full screen side has a scene that isnt on the wide screen side.

the scene when vickie vale kisses the jokers jacket is missing on the wide side.

I would be interested if TCM-HD existed and I had it. This is my most-wanted HD channel. Imagine all those classic movies with Hi-Def transfers in OAR. My TV would spend a lot of time on that channel.

Theres a few scenes that were cut from the film - maybe they'll appear in the newer version coming out soon.

One that sticks out in my mind is the scene where the kids run in front of Vicki playing Batman.

from what I had have heard.. tim liked both films as is.. no deleted footage back into the movie.. they could be place in the extras on the special edition dvd when its released later this year.Only joel shomacher that is putting footage back in batman forever.

I have heard rumors on the net about the upcoming special edition dvd.. just like everyone else. who knows if its true or not.

This will the first time I've seen Batman in its original aspect ratio since the day it first premiered back in 1989. I saw it 3 times back-to-back! What can I say I was 13 and there was no school. [IMG]

Looking forward to Friday night and the new SEs whenever they hit the street! [IMG]

...except for Batman & Robin. I like to deny that that film even exists.
