Bass signal delay... (1 Viewer)

I have a marantz sr7300, from this, I am running the lfe signal to my svs 20-39 pci.

I recently added some bass shakers to the mix. Instead of splitting the signal out of the receiver, I "daisy-chained" the shakers to the svs (svs output runs to plate amp input).

Both sub amps are set to auto-on...when bass signal is present (start of movie, change channels, explosion, etc.) there is a delay now before either "sub" will activate. There was no delay prior to adding the shakers.

Is this due to the method of connection I chose, or possibly because of the auto-on being activated? Any ideas?

I’m going to guess it’s the auto-on thing. It doesn’t matter if you split or daisy-chain, the level (voltage) of the sub signal has been reduced. Try increasing the receiver’s sub output level.
