Have 6 Bass Shakers for sale, Four Pro’s and two “Basic” version. I am upgrading to Buttkickers. All are recent purchases from Parts Express. The basic pair and one pair of the pro’s are brand new, still in PE boxes/packing. I have done the Guy Kuo mod
mod to the other pair of pro’s. I mounted the modded pair under one of 2 matching recliners. I had planned to do the same with the second recliner, but they worked so good, I decided to spring for a pair of buttkickers for even more shake instead. If you’re not familiar with the mod, go to the link and read about it. If you already know about it and were planning to do it, you can save yourself about an hours worth of dremeling and buy mine(more info on the mods below). The modded pair have all of three movies on them, so are also nearly new. I have a long background in sculpture/design/fabrication so be assured the modifications were done cleanly and competently. I will sell the pro’s (modded or unmodded) for $40 a pair shipped. The basic model for $25 for the pair shipped. This is a nice savings over the parts express price when you add shipping. Ideally, I would love to do this with one sale to someone buying them all, to encourage this I will offer all six shipped for an even $100 (save an extra 5 bucks). First person to take the $100 deal gets them. If *nobody offers to buy all 6 in two days, say 8:00 PM thurs.,then I’ll sell them in pairs(no singles) for the stated prices.
Okay Roger, I've read about this mod, just how "much" did you mod them? I would call it a moderate to conservative mod. I've removed the short section of doubled thickness at the outer &*inner ends of the spiral arms. I have lengthened the arms slightly by cutting into the outer ring. I have reduced the width of the arms by approx. 1/3 over the entire length of each arm. There is a strong concensus that this mod is nice improvement if you research this in various forums. See photo
Also for sale, a custom control box to fine tune how much shake. This consists of 2 8ohm 50 watt L-pads, each L-pad will control 2 shakers(4ohm) wired in series. Banana jacks for neat connections, color coded &*mounted on 3/4" centers(standard dual banana jack dist.). Lower jacks-inputs, upper-outputs. Perfect if you're using an old 2-channel amp to run the shakers. Sheath the cables together in black nylon mesh w/shrink wrap at the end(that's what I did) and you got a neat looking unit. Breaks my heart to sell it(got so much time into it!), but I just won't need it(bought the buttkicker amp also). $20 bucks shipped to the first taker!
Payment by PayPal greatly preferred, otherwise a Postal MO. Lower 48 states only, all prices firm, not fielding offers. As stated, I'll take names for pairs, if that's all your interested in, but won't confirm a sale unless noone buys the bunch by Thurs @ 8PM.
