Bass and treble (1 Viewer)

I read in the manual of my Onkyo TX-DS595 receiver that the bass and treble adjustments are only for the plain stereo material (for the front two speakers), so i listened to some music (in direct mode) and found out that they don't do nothing at all. It makes no difference at what position i have them, the sound is always the same. Is my receiver broken or what!?

Check to make sure you do not have a tone bypass function turned on, as it will disable the treble/bass controls.

One of the functions of the Direct Mode is bass/treble bypass. Try these controls in Stereo Mode and you'll find that they can change the sound significantly.

You are right. In stereo mode the bass/treble controls works just fine. Thanks.
