basic question about connecting a computer to a TV (1 Viewer)

What are my options for connecting a computer to a TV or projector? S-Video,VGA,HMI,others?

I prefer DVI way clearer picture if you have DVI on your conputers video card & tv. HDMI is probally the same.

S-video to the TV gives a really fuzzy computer image. Forget about trying to read the desktop icons.

Component and DVI/hdmi are the way to go.

With component you need a VGA to component transcoding device to make the two compatible. A break out cable is not enough.
