Basic Directv RCA receiver died, Best Upgrade?? (1 Viewer)

When I bought my house last year, Dish Network hardware was already in place. So I decided to try them out. I had Directv before and after a few months with the Dish Network I decided to go back to Directv. I went with one of their intro packages but upgraded to the oval dual-lnb dish. I went with the free receiver offer for the time being, hoping that pricing would be coming down on the other receivers. I now need to replace my basic RCA receiver and want to know what you guys would recommend. My Hitachi is HDTV ready and do have oval dish with dual-lnb.

I hope you meant two dual LNB's. If so, call D* and order a Sat-C kit so you can get Showtime HD with your new HD receiver.

What is the most important factor to you? Price? HD? Tivo?

I just picked up a DirecTV/Tivo combo myself. I have the Hughes E86 receiver in the basement and the Tivo system on the TV in the family room.
