A bit early, but the bulk of the sale has always been July.
The last few years (except 2020) it seems to have started the Friday before July 4 so most likely start date is July 1.

Upcoming sale has been mostly confirmed fro 7/1/2022 through 7/31/2022. A couple folks have been told in stores and a BN now posted on a Reddit thread so it looks pretty solid

I will assume the recent rules will apply -- items released before 7/31 will be marked 50% off MSRP, in-store member discounts won't apply. Sale prices should be in-store and online.

BN Free Shipping is now $40 unless you are a member

If anyone orders A Hard Day's Night 4K from B&N during this sale, I would be interested to hear if you receive the corrected version. I had planned on ordering that title during the next Criterion.com flash sale, since that would pretty much guarantee getting the corrected version.

I just picked up The Flight Of The Phoenix, The Girl Can't Help It and Pink Flamingos (two copies- one as a gift for an equally demented friend) on Blu-ray and The Last Waltz, Double Indemnity and Shaft on UHD at my local B&N.

A couple didn't ring as being part of the sale so they adjusted the price to $20 but after I got home, I discovered that since they weren't technically part of the sale, I still got the 10% member discount off of them.

I picked up The Flight of the Phoenix and Mississippi Masala on Blu, and The Red Shoes on UHD. I had a $35 gift card leftover from the holidays, too, so that made it less of a hit on my wallet.

Amazon has slashed their prices on many Criterion titles

I always like to support the retailer with the sale when I can, because without the competition's sale to compete with, Amazon's prices wouldn't be dropping.

I placed my order of The Girl Can't Help It, Round Midnight and The Tales of Hoffmann online for in-store pick-up today. The store manager said, "They could have sent us a lot more. It's early in the sale and it runs all month, so, hopefully, we'll get more in stock." I found those words to be encouraging considering the overall decline in sales of physical media.

I picked this up a few weeks ago from B&N and it was the corrected version.
