I saw this on TCM. Barnes & Noble has an exclusive DVD of 7 Academy Award winning Animated shorts that retails for 24.98 but is free if you purchase a movie from a select list of Films. It shows as costing 24.98 in the basket until checkout is final and this allows for Free & Fast Shipping with a purchase less than the required minimum. The “7 new-to-DVD cartoons” are Rudolf Ising’s “The Milky Way” (1941); Joseph Barbera and William Hanna’s “Quiet Please!” (’46); Barbera and Hanna’s “The Cat Concerto” (’47); Friz Freleng’s “Tweety Pie” (’48); Barbera and Hanna’s “Johann Mouse” (’53); Freleng’s “Birds Anonymous”(’58); and Freleng’s “Knighty Knight Bugs” (’59).

I was actually going to start a thread and ask if B&N/TCM would be having this kind of promotion again this year. Thanks, Tory! [IMG]

Now my only question is.....are they doing it in-store like they did last year?

They did it last year? Why wasn't I paying attention? Was it the same content?

I'd also like to know whether this is available in-store.

Different content Tory. The disc was called "31 Days to Oscar" (which, I believe, is the same name being used this year). It also had a number of shorts, but IIRC they were all live-action.

Actually, HERE is the info on last year's disc.

I can kick myself for missing that.

I just went to Barnes & Noble and they have it in store right now, at least where I live. I believe some of the films are selling for a cheaper price in store.
