"Bang Bang You're Dead " a made for TV adaptation of Author William Mastrisimone's Play of the same name debuted on DVD Tuesday Jan 27th. This Play & subsequent film ranks in my View as the Most Important & Significant DVD release of 2004 to date.
Newcomer Ben Foster gives a Compelling & Rivetting Performance as "Trevor Adams" a once model student of Riverdale High so traumatized by Bullying that it drove him to threaten to blow up the football team.
Trevor's Salvation comes in the Form of drama teacher Mr Duncan, believably played by Tom Cavanaugh who offers Trevor the Lead role in the school play along side his gorgeous co star Jenny Dahlquist. Also co-starring Randy Harrison ("Queer as Folk") as Sean the Troubled Leader of "The Trogs" who in turn has his own dark agenda. "Bang Bang You're Dead" gets a Resounding 4 Stars for it's compelling & Probing look at School Violence. This film is a definate MUST SEE for all.
The DVD presented in Full Frame has no features and a Dolby Surround track. ****
