I have not heard a dang thing but it seems logical. I have the Tapes but DVD would be awesome
Rod, you read my mind. I was just coming back here to ask the same thing.
From searching some of the other threads, it seems like Fall 2002 is the consensus so far for DVD release, as HBO may re-run the series in the spring/summer.
Yep Rod, just sit tight, they're coming.
I only watched the first three episodes, not because I didn't like the show, but because I wasn't about to ruin that experience for myself by watching them in pathetic 2.0 Dolby Surround. I wanted so badly to watch them in DD 5.1 like those with HD HBO, and was very pissed off that I couldn't!
And so, my dvd waiting began.
i sure hope they come out soon, they are permanently stored on my Tivo wasting over 12 hours of recording space That's ok, b/c I have them all with DD5.1 sound, I can't bear to erase them until I have the DVD in hand!!
I've seen the series 3 times through, now on my 4th viewing currently on "Crossroads"
While you are waiting for Fall 2002 to come, you should check out From the Earth to the Moon, in my opinion it's superior to Band of Brothers.
One of the things that I liked about From the Earth to the Moon was that every episode had a different style. Every episode of Band of Brothers seemed the same, which isn't really a bad thing.
neevr saw from the earth to the moon. thats on dvd?
why doesn't HBO re-air them? I'd like to tivo them!
HBO will be re-showing them in late spring, DVDs will be coming in late fall/early winter.
Yes this is 100% accurate. The advertising agency that I work for did the web component for BOB, and this information was sent to us about a month ago.
Good to have confirmation from someone "on the inside" Thanks, Horatio!
Each episode of FEttM was done by a differant director, with Tom Hanks overseeing the entire project.
Hence, the differant "look".
