Band of Brothers - Any news of a 4k release? (1 Viewer)

Seems to me that Band of Brothers would be awesome in 4k.
It was hugely popular so potential sales shouldn't be an issue.

Tom & Steve did Private Ryan in 4k & BOB is vastly superior and would fetch premium pricing.
Does it make too much sense for Hollywood to do this?

BTW, saw that William Goldman passed away.
What a brilliant writer & screenwriter.
Wrote many of my very favorite movies.

All of HBO's 4k releases to date have been upscales from 2k DI masters. As far as I am aware, Band of Brothers was finished in 1080.

So? Some of my favorite 4K/UHD discs are upscaled from 2K DI Masters.

Apparently partially shot on 35, partially (interviews) in HD.

I can't see the work going beyond HD, which we now have in the Blu release.
