I recently moved into a new home where I have the ability now to set up a HT deditcated room. I want to put banana plugs on the ends of all my speakers to run them through the wall. What is a good "bang for your buck" banana plug to put on. I also will be running them into binding posts which I already have set-up in the wall. Is this the way to do it, or is there a special banana plug port to use? My speakers only have binding posts on them, so I figured I'd just neaten it up by using banana plugs on all the speaker wire ends and slam them into the binding posts. Is this reasonable?

Technically, bare wire into your binding posts is the most secure connection, electrically and physically. In reality, you probably can't tell the difference using good banana plugs and it is more convenient, especially on the receiver/amp end of the wire. Monoprice has the best prices I've seen.

I figured as much. I'm eyeing up about 12 pairs ranging from 30 bucks a pair down to 12. I dunno though, I like the neatness factor of banana plugs, and gold is a great conductor. Perhaps I will just get enough to cover the backside of the receiver.

How about $1.94/pair ? :P Google will show you many happy users. I've got a number of these myself spread across the backside of three receivers and on the speaker end of an amp that I use for subwoofer testing.

In addition to the the plugs already suggested, these are Monster Cable look-a-likes for much less money. But the one's from Monoprice are hard to beat for the price.
