I have a Bryston 9B-SST that has balanced and single ended inputs. I was using single ended inputs since that was the only choice my pre/pro offered. I'd like the collective wisdom from those who have compared balanced inputs to single ended inputs. For those that think balanced is better, where do I look for reasonably priced balanced cables?

I would be connecting the balanced cables between a Krell HTS 7.1 and the Bryston 9B. The cable length would be between 6 and 8 feet.

    Mike,

The balanced inputs are for pro connections(which you know), meaning longer, and in some cases, very long connections. Single ended is fine for your length, IMO. Lots of varied opinions out there so the choice is yours.

I am receiving an EAD pre-pro with balanced L/R outputs but my monoblocks are not setup with balanced inputs.
Sonically, the gains are up to your ears.

Check audioasylum.com for a good balanced cable source.
    Good Luck,
