    Oh, for pities' sake.

Peter Bogdanovich is probably unavailable, or they're trying to add more stuff to the disc, or some more rights have to be cleared. It's standard DVD production stuff. The fact that no future date has been set just means they don't know how long it'll take, not that they've given up on the whole project entirely.

It's all very well using sarcasm, angry smilies and putting a million exclamation marks from the safety of your keyboard, but I very much doubt Columbia originally announced the disc with the intention of cancelling it a few months down the line. It'll turn up eventually, just not as soon as we expected.

Actually, I believe they're trying to get the original footage with Michael J. Fox before Eric Stoltz replaced him... [IMG]

It'd be cool if they could put the Springsteen songs in the film that they originally wanted. I believe Rocky was a HUGE springsteen fan and there were posters all over his room attesting to that. They could'nt get, afford the rights or something so they used someone else, (Seger?) and Rocky's mom in real life was dissapointed and said something in an interview that Rocky didn't even know who said person was. (I think... been awhile...)

I would guess that universal is staying away from older titles as well as tv product till the company is sold.

Hold on, which Mask are we talking about here? The 1985 Cher movie? The 1994 Jim Carrey vehicle is a WB title, isn't it?

I assume it's the 1985 Cher flick... as it's title is "Mask", whereas the Jim Carrey move is "The Mask". That and folks talkin' about "Rocky" and director Peter Bogdanovich. [IMG]

    What the hell?

I was planning a Peter Bogdanovich week with Tragets, Daisy Miller, and Paper Moon all coming out at the same time.

I have the OOP version but I really wanted the re-issue with the commentary track.
