I was checking out Steve Hoffman's forum when I came across this thread, posted by Steve Hoffman himself. Sounds bad. Of course, these are just rumors.

    Sad if true.

I remember when there was actually a Rhino pictured on the LP label.

I guess I'll have to start looking at the collection to see how many Rhino CDs I have. I knwo there is at least a dozen or so. Strange that Warner would close doors on a department that had a great profit margin, especially considering they had in 2002 a 200% increase in profit. Weird...but then again I gave up trying to understand the business plans of these failing labels a long time ago. [IMG]

I guess I am hoping it's just a rumor. Heck, Rhino just did the ZZ Top box set, and they were responsible for bringing all the early remastered versions of the Deep Purple CDs from Europe over to here. Warner has got to know what side of their bread the butter is on, right? [IMG] And Rhino is supposed to be doing the new Fleetwood Mac and Tusk DVD-A's too, right? Argh!

Steve Hoffman has over 13,000 posts in 25 months? What was his day job?
