I am still seeing conflicting things on Backbeat -- can anyone confirm that it's anamorphic widescreen?

I thought I read here that it was not going to be released in widescreen. Not sure, though.

Saw it at Laser Blazer yesterday. Anamorphic WS, a commentary by director Iain Softley and deleted scenes. Universal surprises us again.

Universal can get that going for such an obscure title but can't give the John Hughes films that many people have been eagarly anticipating more than a trailer???????????
