    Hi Everyone,

Is there any difference in mounting my back wall speakers(7.1 setup) using a wall mount that allows swiveling of the speaker(up and down/ left and right) or just mounting the speakers flush against the wall(no movement) ???

Should the speakers touch the wall(flush mount) or should it be away from the wall(spkr wall mount)

    thanks in advance

    armin

    Hi
    2 issues -
    1. with swivel mounts, you will be able to adjust their position if you need/want to improve the sound
    2. if they are rear ported, you don't want them right against the wall - they need room to allow the air out of the port - if they are front ported, this would be OK
    Hope this helps

I have all my speakers, with the exception of my center, on identical stands, all set at least 1 foot from the wall.
