I'm almost afraid to find out what the MSRP will be on this season set from Warner.

    God that is beautiful.

I can't believe how close we are to one of the greatest TV shows ever (IMO) to be on DVD...

Guess who recently forked out for the whole first three seasons on VHS. I doubt I'll even get around to watching before the DVD gets here...

Well, as the R2 project site specifically says this is the box "from the states", then let's have at it!

And the UK RRP is only £64.99!! That's the same price as the 11-tape sets were in HMV when they first came out so that's pretty damn fine!!

I too would be interested in knowing if it included The Gathering - pilot episode. First Firefox now this. Great news indeed David.

I cannot tell you how psyched I am. First Major League, then Strange Brew and now Babylon 5 season 1. Yes! I just hope Warner follows Paramounts Trek release schedule(every other month) rather than Fox's X-Files release schedule (every six months). Between this and all the other tv show box sets coming out. I better take out a 2nd mortgage.

The Gathering has already been released along with In the Beginning on a two-sided DVD. In the Beginning is anamorphic widescreen.

Considering how sluggish they are with releasing Babylon 5, they will not be re-releasing anything, so you should pick up this DVD.

Not only is the Gathering already out (as others have pointed out), but it is NOT part of Season One. It may be the series pilot, but it has always been considered a TV movie and not one of the episodes.

So there is no reason to include it in a box set of Season One episodes.

Looking at the spine in the nice pic above, I don't see any indication of the season # but I may be missing it.

Well, if you consider that Paramount has _1_ season-by-season show coming out and Fox has what: X-Files, MASH, Buffy, Simpsons AND the upcoming Malcom in the Middle and NYPD Blue

If Paramount had more TV product on their schedual, they'd have to slow down too, because the heavy TV buyers can't afford $400/month
