So far the only sites I've been able to find that even list this title are:

    Amazon 74.99
    DDD 74.99
    DVD Planet 69.99
    DVD Empire 79.98
    Video Universe 69.99
    EntertainMe.Com 69.99

If anyone else finds a better price, sure would like to hear about it!

Oh, no, I respectfully disagree......DVD Soon hasn't weighed in yet, and I'm betting they'll have the lowest price. And for free U.S. shipping for orders over $100 CDN, to boot.
Occasionally, Total Action Universe beats them on boxed sets, but the frequency is decreasing.
Now, if only DVD Soon wouldn't charge my credit card as soon as I place a pre-order.... [IMG]
As a rabid B5 fan, I'll keep my eyes open, and post if I see anything better.
    Can't wait for the set!

Seen where Best Buy is now showing it on their web-site as a pre-order for $99.99. No sign of it on the CC web page.
Sure hope BB comes down some on that price, comparable to what their doing on the ST:TNG sets (most places have been MSRPing that at 149.99 and knocking it down to 99.99). From what I understand MSRP on the B5 set is supposed to be 99.99 so BB should be lowering their price.
Now if I can find a decent price on the Farscape R1 Season 1 Box set I'll be a happy camper! [IMG]

Total Action Universe has it for $52.44 ! [IMG]
Their shipping is very spotty, though. But it may be worth it for that much savings.

TAU charges $8.00 (CDN) for shipping on the boxed set, which should bring the total to just under $60.00. (They don't show the shipping or the grand total in U.S. dollars, so I'm estimating the shipping cost based on $8.00 CDN at today's exchange rate of $1 CDN = $0.64 USD. That gives a final price of $59.74) So I think they're the winners on this one, but only by about a buck. [IMG]
This is a pre-order price, so presumably it will go up as we get closer to the release date. I've purchased from them before (all my X-Men sets, for instance), and never had a problem with shipping. They don't make it to Florida by the street date, but if I'm saving 40% off the MSRP, I can handle waiting a couple of days. Gotta love those extra pre-order discounts. This beats the previous best price I'd found, which was Amazon's $74.99 with a $5.00 discount code and free shipping, putting the total at $69.99. TAU will probably have the disc in my hands by about the time Amazon would anyway. [IMG]

Apparently a lot of folks are going to Total Action Universe for this set. Here's their current top ten list:

    1. Babylon 5: The Complete First Season
    2. X-Files: Complete Sixth Season
    3. 24: The Complete First Season
    4. Blade II
    5. Reservoir Dogs: 10Th Ann. Edtn. (Mr. White)
    6. Back To The Future: The Complete Trilogy
    7. Monsters, Inc.
    8. Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones
    9. Spider-Man: Collector's Set
    10. The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring

Not bad for an obscure cult TV show, eh?

    Regards,

    Joe

DVD Soon has it for around 71. Not nearly as good as the other Canadian etailers ... Playcentric seems to win hands down.

Just remember if you place an order at Playcentric (I posted the price in that other thread) that you're going to have to wait. How long? A month? Quite possibly.

Although I feel it's worth it to save that much money, you might not. I did pre-order the SG-1 Season2 set over two months ago and it's still backorderd.

Why does Playcentric take so long to deliver the product?

They probably order according to demand instead of anticipating it.

I'll give them a break on SG1 because they have no control if the studio changes the Can release date. I also received another DVD from them within two weeks of it going out of stock.

They've improved a great deal over the past year, I'll give them that. Apparently folks are saying they're much more reliable than DVDSoon, and for price range there are really only those two in the same neighborhood.

The only thing about these big savings is that we have to pay months in advance. We can only hope they don't go under before then. Playcentric has been around for a while, though I have no idea about DVDSoon.

Just checked my order status for SG-1 at playcentric. It shipped yesterday (9/11). And the tracking number was even in the system at usps.com. I placed my order for B5 with them.

Ah, considering I waited quite a while for the last X-Files season set from TAU in the past, waiting doesn't get me all that riled up (I have plenty of other DVDs to occupy my time). Hopefully Playcentric will come through soon enough (before Christmas I hope). [IMG]
