Ditto on the UHD - contingent on that outrageous price coming down. Also threw in Blade Runner and Wonder Woman UHDs while I was at it. :D

Still don't get the concept of PRE ordering as it has zero advantages.

Unless it's a real low price I pass.

I just blindly pre-ordered this.

There are advantages for Amazon customers.

First, you don't forget about this movie. Can't tell you how many times I have forgotten to order a movie when it was announced and missed it on release day.

Secondly, once you pre-order you will automatically be guaranteed the lowest price during the course of the pre-order to release run.

Yeah I guess the pre order guarantee is an advantage. I just remembeed I pre ordered (Here) Alien Covenant at Amazon because of their low price.

Are the final specs for the two versions posted? I did some Googling and did not find any details yet. My interest is if the stand alone BR version has the Atmos sound track.

I don't have a 4K display yet, and won't likely until my Panny plasma dies. I do have a 4K player that will convert to SHD. If this will be another "Atmos on the UHD version only" release, I will go with that. Otherwise, if the stand alone Blu has Atmos, I will save a few bucks.

I really enjoyed this movie, but October is getting really crowded with a bunch of releases, and I won't be able to get everything at once. I'll add this to my collection but it might be something I wait on until Black Friday to see if there is a deep sale.

I case anyone is wondering, the BluRay does not have Atmos; it is DTS Master HD 5.1. The 4K disc does have Atmos as was previously reported.

Big thumbs down to the studios for the practice of limiting Atmos to the 4K disc.
