Do any of you know anything about the B&W speakers. Models DM600 and DM601. I have someone local that sells them but I have not heard them yet. Thanks, Kenny
I have a pair of DM602's. Personally I would not go any lower than the 601's. I think the 600's have a 5 1/4 inch woofer, not big enough in my opinion. I really like the 7 inch woofer in the 602's. They sound great.
I have a set of Series 1's (604 for L/R, 601 for rears, and a CC6 for the center). All that mated with a HSU 1225 sub.
Nothing to complain about here, and you will find that whenever a 600 series B&W is reviewed in the major A/V rags, they always get raves.
But, there are other speakers in that price range....it would be wise for you to listen to a few different brands with familiar music to see what you like.
They are nice, back in the day I did end up choosing paradigm monitor series over them. I preferred the sound, *and* they were cheaper. I was surprised that I liked the digms better. Listen to as much as possible. B&W makes good speakers, and there are a few other good contenders in this range that you should explore too.
