B&W Seasons of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie on DVD — Colored Versions or Urban Legend? (1 Viewer)

I have season 1 B/W sony dvd of IDOJ and was wondering why do there faces look dark grey ?

I watched the black and white Season 1 Bewitched version recently.And I prefer that version to the always pale looking colours version,after all it was never in colour that run.When a show was made in colour and only black and white version exists,then it's a good idea to colour it if possible.Otherwise no point messing with the original version for me.

What I never understand is why many early movies of the late 1920's and early 1930s, which were filmed and shown in colour then, are not restored. Many exist in only B&W prints. There are often colour stills and colour fragments existing however for reference.
