I know this info isn't up on the B&K site yet but in the advertisement I got in the mail today from SOUnd Advice the have pics and some specs on them.

Apparently the REf 50 and Ref 200.7 are available in silver.

Both the Ref 50 and 507 will have IEEE 1394 (firewire) ports, whether they'll be compatible with the dv-47ai is yet to be seen, they both use 192/24 DAC's, they both have the source knob instead of buttons which cleans up the front panel and makes them look a little better, and both will have rs-232c ports.

The Ref 50 WILL have 2 balanced inputs (digital maybe) and 8 balanced outputs. All three are THX ULTRA2 certified.

The AVR 507 is 150x7, has 4 programmable 12v triggers, and dual-zone capabilty.

doesn't say whether they do DTS 96/24 but it's safe to assume they do with the 192/24 DAC's they have.

Sound Advice is selling them for:
    Ref 50: $2,999.95
    Ref 200: $3,299.95
    AVR 507: $3,999.95

Just to let you now I'm not B&K fan (not that I don't like them) I don't own any of their products I'd like to though. I just thought you'd guys like to know what I saw I haven't seen anyone mention this stuff yet just speculation so here's some fact.

That's interesting how B&K hasn't annonced anything, yet someone already has specs in an ad.
    Cool, none the less.

That's going to be hard to pass up for what I'm assuming is a list price of $3000. And a street price of lower than that after a few months. Bravo B&K! [IMG]

They are not available yet. I went to my local Tweeter today and they are listed in their computer but no arrival date as of yet. BTW, Tweeter owns Sound Advice.

How does the spec of B&K 507 compare to Denon 5803? I know that B&K has better MOSFET amp section and simpler remote than Denon 5803 (that AKTIS is just too bulky). However, I would like to know how B&K Ref 507's sound compares to Denon 5803 especially when Denon 5803 has the pure direct differential mode.

Chip E, I thought you have a Denon 5803. What features or expectations that made you consider the new B&K combo?

    Cheers,

    Eric

Eric the AVR 507 isn't out yet and won't be for at least another month so no one has done any comparasions yet. I would say 5803 is better feature wise more sound formats, but that's just by looking at pictures haven't seen any real important specs. But B&K does have the bass notch filter. By the way what is that and what does it do? Does anyone have a link to an article explaining the notch filter?

    Eric,
I do have the Denon 5803. Previously, i had a B&K 307. After extensive time with both receivers, i've determined the B&K sound is what i prefer. I traded the 307 for the 5803 to play with all the features on the Denon. Now that B&K's new line will soon be available, i'm betting many of the 5803's features will be included in B&K's new line. I'm going back to the wonderful, warm sound of B&K as a seperates man [IMG]
