I have a REF 50 and a Denon 2200 DVDA/SACD/dvd player. I currently have the setup on the denon for DVDA set at no filter, meaning that no bass managment is used in the DVDA player. I think this is correct since I already have my bass management setup in the Ref 50. Am I doing this right, is there a better way?

How come I cant control the bass or treble for DVDA. It seems to be a straight feed, I can only control the channel levels.

The DVD-A mode of the REF 50 is just an analog pass-through. It does not have Bass Management in this mode. You'll have to rely on your DVD player for this. There was a thread on this at the Home Theater Spot where I learned this because I had the same problem.

    Hope this helps.
