Just bought a Yamaha HTR-5590. Am thinking of Axiom M60's, JBL E90's or Cambridge Towers for the front speakers. Haven't bought new speakers in a dog's age. What's best for hard rock, piano music (wife) and home theater. I also have a JBL 10" sub (150 watt) that I got a few years ago that I plan to keep.

M60 are quite nice from when I demoed them. I would describe them as "not laid back " (how is that for PC). I thought they were very nice for the $ and would not hesitate to buy them myself (the fact that I bought something else has more to do with the dealer than the speakers themselves). I was not impressed with the Vp 150 though and would demo the other Axiom center first before deciding.

While I am a big JBL s-series fan, I am not an E series fan at all.
