Axiom QS8 placement (1 Viewer)

I have the Axiom QS8 rear surrounds placed on the Left and Right side of my wall in my current place. Problem is that I'm moving soon and the Left and Right walls in the condo are very far from each other. Is it possible to mount these speakers on the back wall about 5 inches away from the ceiling to get good sound?

I think they would probalby still sound pretty good on a back wall. Dipoles generally aren't great in the back, but this Axiom speaker is a little different than a bipole.

You might also consider the stands they sell for them. I'm not sure how expensive they are, but if you've got room then you should consider them.

I'm trying to avoid getting the stands (cost 300).

There are a number of Axiom forum members who have their QS surrounds mounted on the back wall. It will work.

Another thing you might consider is hanging the QS8s from the ceiling. Axiom has recently introduced the Full Metal Ceiling Bracket.

An alternative is the Omnimount 20.5 Ceiling Mount.
