I've definitely been bitten by the HT bug and cant stop. I haven't had my M3ti's for 2 weeks and i'm already thinking about upgrading!!!! My question is this: Do you think me building the Jaguars would be a good idea?

Meaning, maybe I should use the Axioms for a while and develop a good ear for there sound so when/if I upgrade I will appreciate the difference.

Second question, the Jaguars will cost me about $800 to build and i'm assuming that i'll need a new center and possible new surrounds, not to mention new amplification.

Would the Jaguars have much better sound, than the M3ti's.

Mike,

While I haven't heard the Axioms, the difference between them and the Jags should be night and day. Also, keep in mind that the Jags are not a very efficient speaker, but with good amplification they sound wonderful! If you can build them, I'd say go for it.

If I can use my existing center and surrounds I am seriously considering building them. Dont know if i'd need to replace all of teh speakers. If I would have to replace all of them then I think I will hold off.

Mike,

I'd definitely consider the Emerald with the Jags for a center channel. If you're using an Axiom center than I highly doubt that it would integrate well with the Jags.

BTW, if you don't order the Jag kits before June 30th, then you won't be able to order them, period. Subwoofers.com is being sold and they will discontinue selling any of the ACI kits at that point.

There are also many other kits to consider when building a HT system.

Adire and GR Research both offer excellent choices.

I'd definitely consider the GR kits since I've heard the A/V-1's and am about to build the A/V-1+'s. Also, the A/V-3's use dual 6.5" drivers and I think the F3 is in the low 30's for those.
