    Ok guys,

    I will be replacing my JBL N-26/N-center front stage with the M22/VP150 combo which'll run 600.00 or the B&W 601 S3/LCR60 combo which'll set me back 675.00. Has anyone here heard and/or compared both and do you have any suggestions? I wanted the Studio 40's by Paradigm, but they are sadly out of my price range for now. Both the Axiom's and the B&W's have received stellar reviews, but I must say that I like the aesthetics of the 601's better, but like the two woofer setup of the M22. Your opinions would be much appreciated. Whichever speaker is closer in sound/build quality to the Paradigm Studio 40 will be the one I likely go for.

    Thanks,

    Reg

    What about the studio 20? Also, one of the most beautiful speakers I've seen are Totems, check out the Mite T withe the Mite T center or even a better value is the dreamcatcher system. Everyone that sells or has listened to this set up is blown away by its sonic ability. I'm trying to decide between the 3 mentioned.

    Reggie,

    I would seriously suggest the QSO626 from VMPS. It is in the price range, plays louder, lower, and is more musical (my opinion) than either.

    It is also a much more substantial speaker. Just look at the weight comparisons:

    M22ti= 16 pounds
    DM601 S3= 13.4 pounds
    QSO626 = 40 pounds

    Frequency response:

    M22ti= ± 3dB 60-22K (Hz)
    DM601 S3= ± 3dB 60Hz - 22kHz
    QSO626 = -3dB 42Hz-22khz

    SPL:

    M22ti= 93 dB
    DM601 S3= 88dB spl (2.83V, 1m)
    QSO626 = 110dB SPL/1m max

    I use one for my Center channel and it is remarkable.

    I'm in Century City if you want to hear it.

    Regard,

    John

    I believe the QSO 626 is $700 or more per pair (plus shipping). They are supposed to be amazing speakers, but a pair of those with a center would be $1,000 or more.
