The 630 doesn't need the Carver to sound good, and to a lesser extent, neither does the Yamaha. If either of the 3 receivers you listed could benefit better from the Carver, I would say the Pioneer would.

I can't speak for the Denon, but I have a DA4ES, and there is no way I would hook up a Carver 505 to it. The amps in the DA4ES are better.

I don't own any of the above receivers or amp, but the soundstage with the Carver will definitely be expanded with any of those receivers, but not greatly. The Carver is a pure amp and I'd suspect it would out-perform any of those receivers amp sections. I say this since I own its big brother the AV-705x. I know those receivers are rated to have a boat load of power but I bet the Carver's amps have better specs across the board and not the inflated specs that receivers tend to have in the perfect laboratory setting that the manufacturer has performed. I bet the receivers listed would clip before the Carver.
