avr receiver for m&k subsat system?

    hi there... does anyone have any opinions on the best, or a good, avr receiver for an m&k k3 sub/sat system?

    I know that a lot of the older m&k systems had 4ohm nominal impedance. If that is the case as well for your's than you will need to do a little homework and find a unit capable of driving them properly.

    Still no big deal.

    I couldn't figure out what the K3 system is on their website, but some of the K series are 4 ohm like Rob mentioned. You'd need a receiver with a good high current amplifier. Look at ones that include power ratings at 4 ohms. You might also e-mail M&Ks technical support for their recommendations.

    thanks guys. you are right about the 4 ohms. the k-3 series has 3xk7s, 2xk4s, 1xk9.

    I would go with Denon, Marantz or H/K. Anything THX certified would also work.
