AVR 8000 flashes "offset" what does it mean??? (1 Viewer)

Ive noticed that when popping in a DVD and the 8000 starts to read the bitstream It will flash some thing like
"offset +3db" or "offset -6db" . Anyone know what it is doing? No mention of this in the manual.
