I just moved, and can finally have a proper 7.1 channel setup, instead of just 5.1. One of the things I was interested in was to see how AnthemLogic worked while watching regular tv. 7.1 channels from 2 sounded like a cool idea. But now I'm not so sure after playing around with it. Dialogue that was previously (PLII) anchored in the front center channel now is spead across all three fronts, and the surrounds appear to be rolled off in the treble and much lower in level than if I switch back to PLII. Is it supposed ot be like that? Should I live with it for a while to get used to it, or should I stick with PLII for tv?

Erik,

I don't think there is a right or wrong to which surround mode you choose. I personally like DPL II Music mode a bit more than AnthemLogic for movies for the very reason you mentioned, control of the center channel for dialogue. AnthemLogic tends to be more subtle in its use of the surround speakers, which I happen to like for some of the music I listen to. I have a 5.1 setup, so I do not know how AnthemLogic sounds in a 7.1 setup.

Myself, I am grateful for the variety of surround modes.

Michael
