    Which one of these two home theater tune-up DVDs is better? Please keep price aside.

    I only own the S&V Home Theater Tune Up. My impression is that this disc would be fine for most people, especially those who don't want to get TOO crazy about their home theater setup.
    It's my understanding that the Avia disc is more for the really serious Home Theater person or professionals.

    I agree with the above post. If you have a front projection system avia is a must. If you want to delve deeply into your RPTV's service menu then avia is again a must.
