Where can one find an Avia, Video Essentials or a comparable calibration disc to setup a TV properly? What would be an approx cost for such a tool? Do the HT stores generally have them to loan out for initial setup?

    Thanks.

They might if you sweet talk them nicely enough. You can purchase AVIA (and you should have your own copy) from any number of online stores, including HTF's official sponsor, http://www.lasersedge.com.

I don't know how long it's been on their site or when the expected release date is, but Avia Pro is "Coming Soon", so it might be a better idea to wait for that rather than buying the original Avia now. I suspect it will have a 6.1 test pattern to calibrate rear-center channels on newer HTs, and god only knows what else.

Thanks Jack and Rob. I just might want to wait on that new version since my new receiver has 6 & 7 channel capability.
