Given all of the newer technology, this sounds old to me. Anything newer, better, easy to use?

    Greetings

From a video perspective, this still has all the patterns needed to work with any of the current display technologies.

The Digital Video Essentials disc is more jazzy with better demo material, but the amount of test patterns is less than this disc. AVIA is more advanced than the DVE.

A DVE pro and AVIA pro are both close to release, but these are geared toward the professional and priced accordingly.

    Regards

    Thanks Michael.
    Are all versions 4:3?

The standards are the same now as they were in 99. Avia is still a great tool.

    Greetings

AVIA has specific sections for 16:9 sets. They are in the menu system.

Avia PRO has been shipping for about two weeks now. The response from the professional community has been quite positive. Expect to start seeing calibration work and equipment reviews preferentially being done with Avia PRO.
