Man, the most I paid for each of my four showings is $12.00 which includes opening night at a GDX/Dolby Atmos/3-D with weekend showings at IMAX 2-D, AMC IMAX 3-D and Dolby Cinema 2-D showings. The last two showings are A-LIst selections.

Cost of living is the reason why I'll never move back to the Tri-State area. The same with moving to a new area like the West Coast.

If it was possible to do the kind of work that I've spent my life trying to do somewhere less expensive, I would be much more open to the idea of moving someplace less expensive. When I hear about what I pay for things vs what you guys pay, it makes me wish my job existed there!

While I very much appreciate the gesture, it's terribly sad that it even needs to be said.

I don't think the problem, for the most part, lies in fans.

I think it's mainly an issue with all of these vulture sites out there that are just clickbait for ad revenue, that put out headlines like, "You'll never believe what happens at the end of the movie!" that get aggregated and picked up by more legitimate outlets like the IMDb. Comicbooknews.com, Cosmicbooknews.com, those kinds of garbage sites that simply plagiarize content from legitimate outlets but need to go full clickbait to get anyone to click on them vs a real news source.

My Cinemark is not a reserved seating theater other than the XD auditorium, which I don't think is worth paying extra for. So buying advance tickets for there isn't as involved as for many of you, because there is no seat selection process. There's also no way to know how many seats in a given room have been sold, because you can't look at the seating chart.

That being said, I was looking today and it appears that the 6:00pm showtime I am going to next Thursday still has at least one ticket available, because I can click on it and still buy one. However, the 6:30pm show has sold out, so they've added a second 6:30 showtime on another screen. There are also showtimes going pretty much every 15 minutes or so all night, but the 6:30 is the first one I've seen that sold out one auditorium.

I assume that by the time the show actually happens, my 6:00 screening will be full, but maybe people are planning to go later in the evening after they get off work? Because it is 3 hours long, I wanted to go in as early as possible and not be out late.

These leaks might be just the excuse I need to avoid the soulcrushing cesspool that is Twitter, at least for the next week and a half.

I think I have a Twitter account but I don’t use it. I think I got it because there was a contest a few years ago that if I tweeted something to U2, I would be entered in a drawing to get free tickets and meet the band, so I signed up. Don’t think I’ve logged in since. “Soulcrushing cesspool” is not exactly a ringing endorsement of that service! :D

I always thought this forum skewed older than most, but the bladder discussions have confirmed it!

My nephew warned me about spoilers on the net so I am being very careful where I go online for the next week. Good luck with not getting spoiled, looking forward to everyone sharing impressions next week.

I'm not even on Twitter. Even though I'm on Facebook, I only look at it a couple times a month, and actually post on it or respond to it even less.

It's not even so much the click-bait headlines in entertainment news articles, but a lot of times now spoilers are right in the article title - pops up right in the feed and don't even need to click it.

But you can't completely control who responds to the people you follow.

I've checked out of Reddit, Twitter, and facebook completely for the next week. I'm even limiting my activity on the HTF until then. Not that I think members would dream of spoiling anything--I just don't trust random spammers and bots.

    Eyes up. Stay sharp.

Just got my wife and I tickets for an IMAX 3D showing on Friday. Hooray!

And thanks to A-List, the $15 movie is "free", LOL.

LOL, I know absolutely nothing about what's going on in the world now, because I've cut myself off completely due to Game of Thrones and Endgame. I'll come out of my hole in a few weeks.
