Has anyone got a guess why the studios are almost going out of their way to obfuscate information as to what audio format has been used?
I realize my eyes ain't what they used to be but DEFINITELY need VERY often bright light and/or a magnifying glass to spot the 5.1 tag or lack of it.
(To say nothing of minimum information often as to what the format is if it ISN'T 5.1 - stereo, 3-channel, etc.)
It's really difficult to understand why they wouldn't be shouting from the rooftops about 5.1 - rather it's more likely your average ant is usually twice the size of the numerals 5.1.
