I have been beating my head trying to capture audio for burning DVDs
A couple questions I hope someone can answer.

How much do programs like Winamp, WMP and even Power DVD affect capture from something like Roxio EZ DVD creator.

I use a capture card along with an audio card and a TV out card/ IF. Is it better to limit audio cards so not to cause conflicts?
I was thinking about getting rid of just about all audio programs and drivers and starting over. Good Idea or just waste of time?

I have an older computer which I burn cds on mostly and it stopped burning one day.

I finally found that the DMA was disabled in the Bios. What would do that? Virus or Spyware? New Program?

Thanks, I am getting tired of 'learning experiences'

IF? It would help if you list exactly what cards you're using, and what's happening when you try to capture. Nothing, stuttering, delay, etc.
