I have a DVD player and HD satellite receiver hooked up to a DD 5.1 receiver. I calibrated the DVD player's audio levels with the Sound and Vision disc. Do I also have to calibrate the audio settings for the HD sat. receiver, or will they be the same as the DVD player's?

That depends on whether or not your receiver applies speaker settings globally or by source. Most do it globally. Once the levels are set evenly, those settings shoud apply for any source, however, not every source outputs at the same level so the point at which you achieve the same ref SPL on the volume dial may be slightly different for different sources.
